![]() Renée van der VloodtM.A., FHGI, HG Dip P |
Born in Brazil, and growing up in Africa and The Netherlands, Renée has lived in the UK for nearly 30 years. She has spent her entire career working with people, first in TV Production and then education. Early on she became fascinated by the direct link between emotion and learning, and by our different learning styles. In her coaching she helps people reconnect with their unique style by recognising their own behaviour patterns. This way they can build on strengths, and deal with the triggers which hamper movement and growth. This process rebalances people's lives and enables them to access their fullest creative intelligence. She is particularly interested in right and left brain dominance; and how to address the related difficulties. She trains practitioners in the Davis® Method for correcting dyslexia, both in the UK and worldwide. She is a Fellow of the Human Givens Institute, works as a Human Givens practitioner and coaching consultant and is co-director of HG Nederland, which she co-founded in 2008. In Holland, as well as coaching individuals, she gives Mindfields approved workshops in many of the key topics. Renée derives enormous optimism from the fact that her work often effects major and rapid breakthroughs in the personal development of her clients. She puts this down to her conviction that once we learn to work with our innate resources, the possibilities for sustainable change are infinite. She has two grown-up children and lives in Surrey with her husband and their dogs. Her first degree was in Art History which remains part of her wide cultural interest. She relaxes with yoga, walking and the constant stimulation of her friends.

Born of a French mother and an English father Véronique's childhood was spent in the UK and in France. She has a background in psychology and education where she was Head of a modern languages department for over 20 years. She is also a qualified yoga teacher. She enjoyed the challenge of working with different learning styles and discovering creative ways of bringing out the unique qualities of each student. This led to a career move focused on psychological well-being and later specializing in the Human Givens approach. She completed the advanced training, gained a distinction in the Diploma and was invited to join the Human Givens Institute as a Fellow. Her particular skill is in identifying precisely what it is that is holding a person, group or organization back from realising their full potential. Coaching includes a set of practical tools and strategies the use of which increases resilience to the demands and stresses of modern life. This is done with a very light touch. Véronique has consulting rooms in Northamptonshire and London. In her leisure time she enjoys a wide range of cultural, creative, and outdoor interests.

Tony GauvainMNRHP, HG Dip P, FHGI, UKCP, BACP (Accred) |
Born in Quetta, Pakistan, Tony, age 3, returned to England with his mother, after his father had been reported killed in action. He went to Wellington College, Berkshire; and The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst; and was commissioned into the Cheshire Regiment. He served 32 years in the Army, commanded his regiment, and retired as a Colonel. He then spent 8 years in the computer industry as an account manager and project manager, during which time he also studied psychology. Tony's military and commercial experience gives him a rich background against which to practice. He realised he was a leader from his early days at school, and found that he enjoyed being part of a team, and helping his fellows. It was natural that he joined an infantry regiment, and found success in leading and managing soldiers in all sorts of situations and conditions. He was always curious about civilian life and took the opportunity to change to a second career. He enjoyed the different life and the challenge of adapting to it. The change to a third career was inspired by a need to work privately and independently, and in some way to help other people. He became an independent wills and inheritance tax planning consultant, and works with a market leader in this field. His study of various forms of coaching and mentoring over 5 years, and his subsequent private practice, have given him a rich awareness of what it is to be human, and what can be done to promote personal well-being and effectiveness. He is married, with 5 children, and lives and works in Surrey. He is very keen on motor boating, sailing, tennis and skiing. |
